Presently a feasibility study is being undertaken to evaluate the impact and value of a joint underwater resort and research centre design to educate tourists how we can live and work within the Great Barrier Reef environment without impacting on it.
The green neutral science station will be called "Neptune 1" and will cost 5.6 Billion dollars to create and will take 6 years to complete.
The construction of the under water world will be built in modules and shipped to the site and attach in a similar way the international space station was constructed.
Water, waste, food and air will all be create and processed within the under water station and NASA will be very interested in the progress of the scientists as their research may be a great asset for exploration of Mars in the not to distant future.
Humpbacks arrive early this year to the Great Barrier Reef.
As the cold waters of the southern ocean advanced earlier this year the Great Barrier Reef has early regular visitors.
Several pods of Humpback Whales have been sighted on several of the regular dive sites.
A keen eye is being kept, for our favorite Humpback "Migaloo the world famous white whale".

Royal Honeymoon Reef Trip to our beautiful Great Barrier Reef.
The plans and dates are top secret but the happy couple, are planning on coming down under and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef.
The Royal palace has not released where they will be staying or which part of the reef they will be visiting. We all know they will have the time of their lives.
The Royal wedding is on April 29 th, 2011, with 1900 guests invited to the ceremony in Westminster Abbey. I guess my invite was lost in the mail.
" Prince William & Princess Kate, please feel free to contact us here at Great Barrier Reef Holiday if you require any extra information that only locals will know."
