The Tully River is Australia's best and most famous one-day white water rafting experience. It's the North's ultimate white water, white knuckle adventure. The Tully River, located 2 hours south of Cairns, is known as the best White Water Rafting across both Australia and New Zealand.
The river carves its way through Rainforest so significant it has been granted World Heritage Listing status. It also boasts grade 3-4 rapids which are challenging for the experienced and beginners alike, with the need to hold on in some sections.
Each raft is controlled by a highly trained river guide, who teaches you the correct techniques during the day, and who will share with you the history and wonders of this magnificent landscape which few get to see. Since 1984 when Raging Thunder was the first company to raft the Tully River, it has remained THE MUST DO adventure activity, attracting visitors from around the globe.
INCLUDES: • Up to 5 hours White Water Rafting • Guaranteed water levels all year round • Exclusive Raging Thunder Cafe (licensed) • All tuition provided, no experience necessary • BBQ lunch beside the river • Accommodation transfers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Lace-up shoes (that WILL get wet). Rental shoes are available for a small fee. • Swimming costume & towel (you will need to have your swimming costume already on when you are picked up). A change of clothes and sunscreen 15+.
DEPARTS: Cairns & Beaches daily 6.30am / RETURNS: 6.30pm
DEPARTS: Mission Beach daily 7.30am / RETURNS: 5.00pm.
$30.00 per person fuel and rafting levy payable on the day. NOTE: You MUST be 13 years or older to raft with Raging Thunder. For bookings departing within 48 hours please call our reservations.

Feel the rush of a half day white water rafting adventure on the Barron River - leaving plenty of time to enjoy other activities on the same day.
The Barron River rapids are of grade two to three level, which means they are simple technical rapids with a need to manoeuvre the raft, resulting in excellent rafting for first timers. No experience is necessary – you will learn as you go. In fact most guests have never been rafting before.
Up to 2 hours of rafting through Barron Gorge National Park, Safety equipment, life jacket, helmet and spray jacket suppled.
Return air-conditioning coach transfers from your accommodation
